Description
Notable Quotes is a card/puzzle game using famous quotes written in a text messaging script. The game is suitable for ages 10 and up. It does not require a computer or cell phone, but teaches people a new text messaging script. Each player gets a code card showing single word and sound codes in the text script. There are 3 different skill levels in the game (amateur, intermediate and expert). Six sets of Letter tokens for spelling the word "QUOTES" plus Hazard tokens. There are 100 hundred puzzle quotes and players must try to solve the words in the puzzles using their text code cards. Once the words are solved, rearrange the words to form the correct quotation. Hint: quotation marks are aids.The first individual or team to solve the quotation must write out their answer and then knock on the table to announce their answer (further play is halted). If their opponents agree with the answer given, the puzzle card is turned over to reveal the correct quotation. If the original answer is 100% identical to the quotation on the back of the card, the winner randomly picks a token from the game and places it in front of their position. If the original answer is not identical, a new puzzle card is chosen and play continues. Play the game until one individual or team has formed the word QUOTES with their tokens, and has been crowned Master of Notable Quotes!
